Styling the The TinyMCE Text Area
Posted on January 4th, 2010 No commentsThey guys who produce TinyMCE suggest, when initialising the editor, that you set the content_css parameter to be the url to your site’s CSS, so that the content you type into the text area is styled in the same way as the rest of your site.

Semantic Markup – What should h1 Be?
Posted on December 11th, 2009 No commentsI had an interesting argument earlier today. One of our websites is being redesigned at the moment, and the page layout has the logo and company name at the top, and below the menu is a subtitle

Override style=”..” using external CSS
Posted on September 12th, 2009 No commentsOn my blog I use a plugin called Social Homes , which gives me the favicon of each social site I’m a member of and a link to my profile on each site on the top left hand corner. However the default style is that the icons are left aligned and the margin is a little bit too big. I tried putting an override in my styles.css: div .socialhomes { margin-top : -5px ; text-align : center ; } However, inline styles (i.e

Good Site Design, SEO and Semantics all in one
Posted on June 14th, 2009 No commentsOne thing I ensure I do on all sites is to develop for two audiences at once. The first audience is of course the end user of the site.

Linking CSS on Zend Framework, the XHTML Valid way
Posted on April 10th, 2009 No commentsI’ve been getting to know Zend Framework , and despite it being awesome so far, there’s a few quirks I just don’t understand… maybe I missed something… Anyway, David Cooper posted a quick howto on adding CSS to a Zend Framework page , which works and is all well and good, but there was a problem. The code that Zend Framework spits out was not XHTML valid

ZOMG! Blog Theme v2 Nearly Ready!
Posted on November 30th, 2008 No commentsRegular readers of my blog who visit the site (not just subscribe to the RSS) will have noticed over time, since I made this theme and released it on June 3rd 2008, my blog slowly changing and looking more sleek and refined. I’ve literally just finished the comments CSS, so comments are nicely boxed up and styled, rather than the basic numbered list.
